Who doesn't love Drunk Elephant? If you're like me and love luxury skincare items but can't face buying them because they're, well let's be honest, a bit on the pricey side and out of the (post) college girls budget - If this sounds familiar to you then keep on reading.

Drunk Elephant is the absolute craze for skincare products atm, from helping clear pimples, breakouts and acne to deeply moisturizing and clearing skin - no wonder they're frequently sold out. However, since these products know how to break the bank, I have found some secret skincare products that act exactly the same as Drunk Elephant, with an affordable price tag. I can't wait to share them with you!

Hellz yeahh let's go!

drunk elephant skincare. best drunk elephant dupes. why everyone loves and hypes about drunk elephant. natural skincare. beauty on a budget. affordable luxury skincare routine.

These are the 3 shocking must-have Drunk Elephant dupes to glow up your skincare routine...

AHA/BHA

Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial has been hitting it off on social media. I'm sure you've seen this product crazed about on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc. A lot of people have hyped about their glow up on there too.

I'll be honest, I used Drunk Elephant a few months ago and I loved how clear it made my face, but I seriously couldn't face that price tag again.

Then, after research for an exact duplicate of Drunk Elephant, I discovered The Ordinary. It not only improved my skin's radiance, but the best part, it's soooo much cheaper. In fact its less than half of Drunk Elephants price tag - it already sounds more appealing.

But, we can't buy this product based on the price. There has to be a lot more benefits to it right? - that's why we pay more for these luxury products. I bet you're also wondering, how can one be so unbelievably expensive whereas the other is so cheap? What's the difference?

It seemed crazy that both products contained BHA and AHA, with a major difference in the price tag but both received extremely positive reviews. This is why, it's known for...

  • fighting visible blemishes

  • improving skin radiance

  • exfoliating skin with an extended function to help clear pore congestion

  • exfoliating the skin for a brighter and more even appearance

  • improving the appearance of skin texture

  • reducing the look of fine lines - with continued use

That's a big-ass price difference for the same results, my friends!

In the end I changed to The Ordinary and honestly I think it is just as good as Drunk Elephant and for under $15 it packs a serious punch! It contains 30% AHA and 2% BHA - basically AHA is good for dry skin, it's made up of molecules that love water, and it helps improve the skin's moisture. BHA is best for acne-prone skin and those with deeper skin concerns, as BHA penetrates further into the skin.

You can't beat it and it takes roughly 10 minutes to apply. I usually put it on in the morning as I make coffee, get ready for work etc. then simply wash it off and I'm good to go. Although I do recommend using a strong moisturizer afterwards for that extra kick.

#beautytip Apply The Ordinary with a brush. As it's a liquid it can get a bit messy.

Is it really worth paying $119 for a 50 ml bottle when you save and buy a product that targets and treats the same skin problems, gives your skin very similar results and costs significantly less, plus comes in a variety of sizes (smallest bottle 30 ml)?

Marula Oil

This was my first time using Belenos Therapy and honestly I was very impressed.

Even though Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil is top-rated for dry skin as it soaks into your skin for full hydration and is great for acne.

I think Belenos Therapy quality is just as luxurious and for a LOT less money - yes, these dupes are saving us a whole lotta' cash!

So what are the perks of Marula oil?

  • packed with powerful antioxidants

  • high concentrations of nutrients and minerals

  • Protects against sun damage and pollution - packed with essential fatty acids

  • 100% pure

  • 100% organically sourced (vegan)

  • gluten-free

  • helpful for face, skin, hair and nails

  • treats dry and oily skin

  • deeply nourishes and hydrates skin

After using both Drunk Elephant and Belenos Therapy, I got pretty much the same results. If you're on a budget, then I'd definitely recommend Belenos Therapy! It's also perfect for dull hair that needs some hella shine! Hair also felt thicker and more healthy.

Back to skincare, the most shocking part for me was that I noticed instant skin hydration with Belenos Therapy - I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical before using it because it is a lot cheaper and I haven't used any of their products before so questioned the quality.

But seriously, if you're looking for the perfect Drunk Elephant dupe, this is it! Amazing product and highly recommended! It not only treats skincare but also your hair and nails - definitely a hidden gem! Quickly get yours before everyone finds out!

Lactic Acid

Lactic acid is crazed about today as one of the most popular AHA's in skincare. It's powerful for reducing acne breakouts and the appearance of wrinkles plus other signs of aging. Both products include a 'dream team' of AHA's to reveal a smoother and more radiant complexion. I tested Drunk Elephant Night Serum and The Ordinary Lactic Acid product to see if there were any differences apart from the price. Let's read on to see the results..

I love Drunk Elephant products, the quality and results are fab. But again, I'm still not feeling that price tag, sorry!

So after looking around, I stumbled on a another little gem for you by The Ordinary - Wow, this brand just keeps on satisfying! What's great is that a lot of beauty experts have also used this brands products and claimed that they feel just as luxurious on your skin as the high-end skincare products, but with an affordable price tag!

Why is The Ordinary just as good?

Well, first of all that price-tag seems waayy more appealing to the bank account! Not only that, but the product itself feels ahh-mazing!

The Ordinary Lactic Acid is recommended to be used as part of your night time skincare routine. The thick, light-weighted serum feels like heaven once applied to your skin - you can feel the instant hydration as it's not watery like some products.

It works by refining and resurfacing the skin. The glue that holds the dead skin cells gently dissolves to the surface and increases collagen production.

The serum leaves skin feeling refreshed and hydrated which is perfect for dull dry skin. Plus gives you an even-toned and radiant complexion.

I have dry sensitive skin and this was awesome at diminishing my acne and appearance of pores. Resulting in smoother, healthier skin and increased collagen formation. Even after using it for some time I've noticed brighter, fresher skin & fading dark spots & scars. Gotta' love the glow up!

Again, The Ordinary surprises us by being that perf. Drunk Elephant dupe - the quality and results are very similar, it treats a variety of skin problems, easy added to your routine and all this for significantly less money!

*As with all acidic products, I take extra time to ensure that my face (& body) are protected. Remember – AHAs & other peeling products make your face more sun-sensitive!!!
